The house
Casa da Pedrada sits in the north of Portugal, in the historic town of Ponte da Barca, at Lugar da Pedrada in the village of Salvador.
At its origin is the dream of a family with roots in this village: a refuge for days of rest and togetherness over the years. And so the house was extended and renovated to welcome the family's three generations on holidays and weekends.
Nestled among the village houses, Casa da Pedrada has a vast outdoor space where centuries-old olive trees and fragrant orange trees form corners that invite rest and serenity. A singular, sumptuous hazel tree, decades old, marks the whole grounds.
Ideal for families and groups of friends, this house is the perfect refuge to slow down, share good moments around the table and explore some of the most beautiful places in northern Portugal.
Right beside the Peneda-Gerês National Park, Casa da Pedrada is the ideal starting point to discover the whole Alto Minho — about 20 minutes from the A3 motorway and Ponte do Lima, 1 hour from Porto airport (Sá Carneiro), 50 minutes from Vigo airport (Galicia, Spain) and 40 km from the Atlantic Ocean.
